| NORTH HAVEN North Haven is a suburban residential community with a strong commercial, retail, and manufacturing base. North Haven has over 75 highly diversified manufacturing and commercial firms, five industrial parks and it is the home of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Pratt and Whitney was once a stable site in North Haven. U.S. Surgical remains stationed in North Haven. North Haven is 21 square miles with over 25,000 residents. North Haven has six public schools( four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school) including a newly constructed high school. The population is diverse. There is a large parks system. The North Haven Fair is held every Fall. The attendance is very high. North Haven is ten minutes from Long Island Sound. North Haven is just ten minutes from downtown New Haven and Yale University. There is easy access to I 91 and Route 15. Hartford, New York City, Providence, and Boston are easily accessible. In July 2007, Money Magazine rated North Haven as the 86th best place to live in the United States. |
